Official Certifications

This pool filter glass is endorsed by the highest national and international standards. This guarantees safe, effective, and sustainable use, even in demanding installations such as public swimming pools or drinking water systems.

  • APPLUS +: Certification that establishes that recovered glass is no longer waste.
  • ISO 9001: Commitment to quality and continuous improvement in all our processes.
  • ISO 14001: Commitment to responsible environmental management
  • UNE 12904: Certification that guarantees compliance with filter glass quality requirements.
  • EN 17978: Specific safety standard for glass filtration media.
  • Certificación Europea medioambiental: European environmental certification: Compliance with the highest standards in this field

Why choose Filter Glass?

  • Water and Energy Savings. Requires fewer backwashes and reduces the system’s energy consumption.
  • Cleaner, Clearer Water. thanks to the retention of smaller particles than sand.
  • Long-Lasting. Does not degrade or compact, which extends its useful life (up to 3 times longer than sand).
  • Fewer Chemicals. Reduces the use of chemicals (chlorine, pH regulators).
  • Cleaner and Safer. Prevents the formation of biofilm and channeling.
  • No Limescale Buildup. Does not compact or form clumps.

Why is this Filter Glass perfect for swimming pools?

  • It is a non-porous and self-sterile product. Because it is made from recycled glass, it is completely environmentally friendly.
  • Unlike clear glass, it contains mostly green glass (chromium oxide) and brown glass (iron oxide), which promote the self-sterility of the glass and reduce its catalytic capacity to prevent biofilm formation.
  • Its particle size distribution and controlled blend of different glass particles increase filtration capacity, achieving more efficient filtration and improved water clarity (>30% more turbidity compared to silica sand).
  • Its manufacturing process and special treatment make the filter glass a more durable product, with a minimum lifespan of 10 years from its installation in the filter.
  • It prevents and avoids the formation of biofilm (bacteria in the filter) and causes less soiling. By not forming biofilm, the use of chlorine, disinfectants, and anti-algae products is reduced.
  • It delays the formation of limescale due to the presence of calcium (Ca+) in the water.
  • It saves water and energy, as fewer and shorter backwashing processes are required.
